Global Warming is Crap IX

Bwah ha hah hah hah ha ha ha!
Oh no please, please, this is toooooo funny!

You probably haven't heard of this (and not by accident), but it has recently come to light that, rather than a global warming deniers conspiracy, we have quite the opposite.

There is now proof that the monks and priests of the AlGorian Order have been manipulating data to fit their scripture, and silencing the heathen naysayers.

At first, just another hacker attack:

hackers cause massive climate data breach

Ah, but they got more than it seemed at first:

Climate Emails Stoke Debate

Inhofe warned about this over 4 years ago. Ah, but he is just another evil Republican in the pocket of the all powerful oil companies. He was of course, lying. That was the feeling of the tree huggers.
Ah, s'cuse me but WHO'S lying?

Inhofe Says He Will Call for Investigation on "Climategate"

Another investigation called:

Lord Lawson calls for public inquiry into UEA global warming data 'manipulation'

Nothing will come of these investigations I'm sure. But it's good to see a high priest of the AlGorian Order asking for a bit of honor and decency:

Scientist in climate change 'cover-up' storm told to quit

Unfortunate messages indeed. Stand behind that science. Hah!

I'll throw in the following links too. More of the same, but interesting:

Climategate: the final nail in the coffin of 'Anthropogenic Global Warming'?

and:

Hiding evidence of global cooling

Gosh, I wonder if this will have any effect on the UN climate meeting?
Nah, they won't even consider it I'll bet. Business as usual:

Obama to attend beginning of U.N. climate meeting

Can you just imagine if something like this happened to 'deniers?' Why, it would be on the front pages and be the leader story on every network in the world!

And in closing, if you haven't heard of this yet, I'm not surprised. After all, as I indicated in the previous paragraph, the networks are Al Gore's choir boys & girls:

Nets that touted 'Deniers Conspiracy' now mum on left's global warming distortions

Hah!

THIS guy should be president

Lt Col Allen West.
Here is a man who understands terrorists. Here is a man who is not hobbled by political correctness.

Oh yeah, before I even start, some of you folks may be grumbling or whining about the good Colonel's "interrogation incident." Well, this article says it all for me:

Lt. Col. Allen West and Michelle Obama

That is reality.

Here is truth.

Lieutenant Colonel Allen B West (US Army, Ret)

This past Thursday 13 American Soldiers were killed and another 30 wounded at a horrific mass shooting at US Army installation, Ft Hood Texas. As I watched in horror and then anger I recalled my two years of final service in the Army as a Battalion Commander at Ft Hood, 2002-2004.

My wife and two daughters were stunned at the incident having lived on the post in family housing.

A military installation, whether it is Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine, or Coast Guard, is supposed to be a safe sanctuary for our Warriors and their families. It is intended to provide a home whereby our “Band of Brothers and Sisters” can find solace and bond beyond just the foxhole but as family units.

A military installation is supposed to be a place where our Warriors train for war, to serve and protect our Nation.

On Thursday, 5 November 2009 Ft Hood became a part of the battlefield in the war against Islamic totalitarianism and state sponsored terrorism.

There may be those who feel threatened by my words and would even recommend they not be uttered... To those individuals I say step aside because now is not the time for cowardice. Our Country has become so paralyzed by political correctness that we have allowed a vile and determined enemy to breach what should be the safest place in America, an Army post.

We have become so politically correct that our media is more concerned about the stress of the shooter, Major Nidal Malik Hasan. The misplaced benevolence intending to portray him as a victim is despicable. The fact that there are some who have now created an entire new classification called; “pre-virtual vicarious Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)” is unconscionable.

This is not a “man caused disaster”. It is what it is, an Islamic jihadist attack.

We have seen this before in 2003 when a SGT Hasan of the 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault) threw hand grenades and opened fire into his Commanding Officer’s tent in Kuwait. We have seen the foiled attempt of Albanian Muslims who sought to attack Ft Dix, NJ. Recently we saw a young convert to Islam named Carlos Bledsoe travel to Yemen, receive terrorist training, and return to gun down two US Soldiers at a Little Rock, Arkansas Army recruiting station. We thwarted another Islamic terrorist plot in North Carolina which had US Marine Corps Base, Quantico as a target.

What have we done with all these prevalent trends? Nothing.

What we see are recalcitrant leaders who are refusing to confront the issue, Islamic terrorist infiltration into America, and possibly further into our Armed Services.Instead we have a multiculturalism and diversity syndrome on steroids.

Major Hasan should have never been transferred to Ft Hood, matter of fact he should have been Chaptered from the Army. His previous statements, poor evaluation reports, and the fact that the FBI had him under investigation for jihadist website posting should have been proof positive.

However, what we have is a typical liberal approach to find a victim, not the 13 and 30 Soldiers and Civilian, but rather the poor shooter... A shooter who we are told was a great American, who loved the Army and serving his Nation and the Council on American Islamic Relations (CAIR) stating that his actions had nothing to do with religious belief.

We know that Major Hasan deliberately planned this episode; he did give away his possessions. He stood atop a table in the confined space of the Soldier Readiness Center shouting “Allahu Akhbar”, same chant as the 9-11 terrorists and those we fight against overseas in the Iraq and Afghanistan theaters of operation.

No one in leadership seems willing to sound the alarm for the American people; they are therefore complicit in any future attacks. Our Congress should suspend the insidious action to vote on a preposterous and unconstitutional healthcare bill and resolve the issue of “protecting the American people”.

The recent incidents in Dearborn Michigan, Boston Massachusetts, Dallas Texas, and Chicago Illinois should bear witness to the fact that we have an Islamic terrorism issue in America. And don’t have CAIR call me and try to issue a vanilla press statement; they are an illegitimate terrorist associated organization which should be disbanded.

We have Saudi Arabia funding close to 80% of the mosques in the United States, one right here in South Florida, Pompano Beach. Are we building churches and synagogues in Saudi Arabia? Are “Kaffirs” and “Infidels” allowed travel to Mecca?

So much for peaceful coexistence.

Saudi Arabia is sponsoring radical Imams who enter into our prisons and convert young men into a virulent Wahabbist ideology….one resulting in individuals wanting to destroy synagogues in New York with plastic explosives. Thank God the explosives were dummy. They are sponsoring textbooks which present Islamic centric revisionist history in our schools.

We must recognize that there is an urgent need to separate the theo-political radical Islamic ideology out of our American society. We must begin to demand surveillance of suspected Imams and mosques that are spreading hate and preaching the overthrow of our Constitutional Republic……that speech is not protected under First Amendment, it is sedition and if done by an American treason.

There should not be some 30 Islamic terrorist training camps in America that has nothing to do with First Amendment, Freedom of Religion. The Saudis are not our friends and any American political figure who believes such is delusional.

When tolerance becomes a one way street it certainly leads to cultural suicide. We are on that street. Liberals cannot be trusted to defend our Republic, because their sympathies obviously lie with their perceived victim, Major Nidal Malik Hasan.

I make no apologies for these words, and anyone angered by them, please, go to Ft Hood and look into the eyes of the real victims. The tragedy at Ft Hood Texas did not have to happen. Consider now the feelings of those there and on every military installation in the world.. Consider the feelings of the Warriors deployed into combat zones who now are concerned that their loved ones at home are in a combat zone.

Ft Hood suffered an Islamic jihadist attack, stop thedenial, and realize a simple point.

The reality of your enemy must become your own.

Steadfast and Loyal,

Lieutenant Colonel Allen B West (US Army, Ret)

Just so.
I don't think you'll ever find Lt Col West bowing unnecessarily before foreign leaders and then refusing to honor our own country's flag.

In addition, The One better damn well make sure Khalid Sheikh Mohammed (KLM) is found guilty and executed in the idiot NY trial. He better damn well make sure that not one U.S. civilian, or any civilian for that matter, gets so much as a scratch due to an attack on the trial.
No, actually, he better damn well make sure there IS NO ATTACK.
Because if there is, then he The One himself, will be directly responsible just as surely as if he were a member of the terrorist group.
But I have absolutely no faith in this government. We are now ruled by people who view murderers and terrorists as victims.
I will be surprised if this so called trial goes well. Pray for my surprise.

This is not some kind of threat of violence from me, so you can call off your dogs. Too bad the snitch email isn't around any more huh?

So, Bush was an idiot eh?

I can't help it, I just got another email that is too good not to post here. Once again, I cut & pasted it with little formatting.
Basically, Bush and some other republicans were considered complete idiots by the press and no error went unreported.
Now however, The One is revered and worshiped, no matter what.

Ask yourself these questions:

If George W.  Bush had been the first President to need a teleprompter
installed to be  able to get through a press conference, would you have
laughed and said  this is more proof of how inept he is on his own and is
really controlled by smarter men behind the scenes?

If  George W. Bush had spent hundreds of thousands of  dollars to take Laura
Bush to a play in NYC, would you have  approved?

If  George W. Bush had reduced your retirement  plan's holdings of GM stock
by  90% and given the unions a majority stake in GM, would you have
approved?

If  George W.  Bush had made a joke at the expense  of the  Special
Olympics, would you have  approved?

If  George W. Bush had given Gordon  Brown a set of inexpensive and
incorrectly formatted DVDs, when  Gordon Brown had given him a thoughtful
and  historically significant gift, would you  have approved?

If  George W. Bush had given the Queen of England an  iPod containing videos
of  his speeches, would you have thought this embarrassingly narcissistic
and  tacky?

If  George W. Bush had bowed to the King of Saudi  Arabia , would you  have
approved?

If  George W. Bush had visited Austria  and made  reference to the
non-existent "Austrian language," would you   have brushed it off as a minor
slip?

If  George W. Bush had filled his cabinet and circle  of advisers  with
people who cannot seem to keep current in their income taxes,  would you
have approved?

If George W. Bush had been so Spanish illiterate as  to  refer to "Cinco de
Cuatro" in front of the Mexican ambassador when it   was the 5th of
May(Cinco de Mayo), and continued to flub it when he   tried again, would
you have winced in  embarrassment?

If George W.  Bush had mis-spelled the word "advice" would you have hammered
him for it for years like Dan Quayle and potatoe as proof of what a dunce he
is?

If George W.  Bush had burned 9,000 gallons of jet fuel  to go plant a
single tree on Earth Day, would you have concluded he's a hypocrite?

If George W.  Bush's administration had okayed Air  Force One flying low
over millions of  people followed  by a jet fighter in downtown Manhattan
causing widespread  panic, would you have wondered whether  they actually
get what happened  on 9-11?

If George W.  Bush had failed to send relief aid to  flood victims
throughout  the Midwest with more people killed or  made homeless than in
New Orleans ,  would you want it made into a major ongoing political issue
with claims of  racism and  incompetence?

If George W. Bush had created the position of 32 Czars who report directly
to him, bypassing the House and Senate on much of what is happening in
America, would you have approved?

If  George W. Bush had ordered the firing of the CEO  of a  major
corporation, even though he had no constitutional authority  to  do so,would
you have  approved?

If  George W Bush  had proposed to double the national debt, which had taken
more than  two centuries to accumulate, in one year, would you  have
approved?

If  George W. Bush had then proposed to double the debt again within 10
years, would you have approved?

So, tell  me again, what is it about Obama that makes  him so brilliant and
impressive?

Just so.
Seems to me that The One is every bit as much of an idiot as Bush or Quayle. Heck, maybe more so, but I admit that's arguable.

It's all real simple!

For some time now, I've found it a little amusing that the very controlling, intolerant attitudes and actions that many liberals have been complaining about for a few decades have been adopted by them.
For years, liberals have said that conservatives have been trying to force their morals on everyone, have been trying to make the world in thier image, and have been intolerant of anyone who disagrees or is different from them.
The liberals said "leave people alone."
Now, it's reversed. Now,it's the liberals who are controlling and intolerant. No one is more in love with censorship than a liberal, no group wants to force their beliefs and lifestyles on others more.
I need to point out, however, that the libs I speak of are not the classic liberals of decades past. You never hear from those folks anymore it seems.
No, most liberals that are in positions of power or at least in the public eye are really statists as pointed out by one of the talk radio folks that The One and his statist friends wish to silence.
What a shame.

An email from a fellow named Troy in Dallas TX was forwarded to me. I chuckled over it and was about to delete it when I realized that this was a list of examples of exactly what I had been thinking, plus a few more.
The title of this post is that of the message.
So here it is:

If a conservative doesn’t like guns, he doesn`t buy one.
If a liberal doesn't like guns, he wants all guns outlawed.

If a conservative is a vegetarian, he doesn`t eat meat.
If a liberal is a vegetarian, he wants all meat products banned for
everyone.

If a conservative sees a foreign threat, he thinks about how to defeat his enemy.
A liberal wonders how to surrender gracefully and still look good.

If a conservative is homosexual, he quietly leads his life.
If a liberal is homosexual, he demands legislated respect.

If a black man or Hispanic is conservative, they see themselves as independently successful.
Their liberal counterparts see themselves as victims in need of government protection.

If a conservative is down-and-out, he thinks about how to better his situation.
A liberal wonders who is going to take care of him.

If a conservative doesn’t like a talk show host, he switches channels.
Liberals demand that those they don’t like be shut down.

If a conservative is a non-believer, he doesn’t go to
church.
A liberal non-believer wants any mention of God and religion silenced. (Unless it’s a foreign religion, of course).

If a conservative decides he needs health care, he goes about shopping for it, or may choose a job that provides it.
A liberal demands that the rest of us pay for it.

If a conservative slips and falls in a store, he gets up, laughs and is embarrassed.
If a liberal slips and falls, he grabs his neck, moans like he's in labor and then sues.

I still find it amusing that today it's the conservative that champions individual freedom and the former liberals fighting for conformity as statists.

Ted Kennedy Remembered

I never much liked ol' Teddy Bear, as my dad called him. I shed no tear at his passing and pretty much ignored the Democrats considering him a hero and his death the passing of a great leader. 'Scuse me whilst I hurl, but then who am I to cast stones.

Further, I found it annoying that many of the same people who bitched about the "Bush Dynasty" and how they got where they were through money and political connections loved and worshiped the Kennedy's. Uh, yeah, well, when you say "Kennedy" you are talking about the most powerful long running political dynasty this country has ever seen. Oh, so sorry, it's not "Dynasty" it's "Camelot" isn't it? 'Scuse me whilst I hurl.

Though I disagreed with him in just about everything and did not like him (and considered him a murderer to boot), I did feel that he was a hard working guy and that he was not at all like The One who mostly decided not to vote at all, just show up and get paid. Or not show up and get paid. Whichever.
And, for all his partying, crashes and cancer, the bastard made it to 77, so he was obviously a tough ol' bird.
I grudgingly gave him some credit.

Ah, but this list of his past transgressions and idiocy was emailed to me recently, and I'm going to post the whole list along with the comments in the message right here.
I never researched the list. The list describes a man exactly like the Ted Kennedy that I saw and remember, so I am inclined to believe every word.

Now, there might be some inaccuracies in this list, it's even likely. So if any one out there can point them out, I'll look it up and print a retraction if you are correct.

I am also going to add a couple of links about the infamous Palm Springs Rape and the Dodd/Kennedy Waitress Sandwich affair as the author of the list missed these.

It isn't wrapped well due to copying from a text message. I aint fixing it.

Lest we forget the truth about this SOB...

The Last of The Kennedy Dynasty

As soon as his cancer was detected, I noticed the immediate attempt at the
"canonization" of old Teddy Kennedy by the mainstream media. They are
saying
what a "great American" he is. I say, let's get a couple things clear &
not
twist the facts to change the real history.

1. He was caught cheating at Harvard when he attended it. He was
expelled twice, once for cheating on a test, and once for paying a
classmate
to cheat for him.

2. While expelled, Kennedy enlisted in the Army, but mistakenly signed up
for four years instead of two. Oops! The man can't count to four! His
father, Joseph P. Kennedy, former U.S. Ambassador to England (a step up
from
bootlegging liquor into the US from Canada during prohibition), pulled the
necessary strings to have his enlistment shortened to two years, and to
ensure that he served in Europe, not Korea , where a war was raging. No
preferential treatment for him! (like he charged that President Bush
received).

3. Kennedy was assigned to Paris, never advanced beyond the rank of
Private, and returned to Harvard upon being discharged. Imagine a person
of
his "education" NEVER advancing past the rank of Private!

4. While attending law school at the University of Virginia, he was
cited for reckless driving four times, including once when he was clocked
driving 90 miles per hour in a residential neighborhood with his headlights
off after dark. Yet his Virginia driver's license was never revoked.
Coincidentally, he passed the bar exam in 1959. Amazing!

5. In 1964, he was seriously injured in a plane crash, and hospitalized
for several months. Test results done by the hospital at the time he was
admitted had shown he was legally intoxicated. The results of those tests
remained a "state secret" until in the 1980's when the report was unsealed.
Didn't hear about that from the unbiased media, did we?

6. On July 19, 1969, Kennedy attended a party on Chappaquiddick Island in
Massachusetts . At about 11:00 PM, he borrowed his chauffeur's keys to his
Oldsmobile limousine, and offered to give a ride home to Mary Jo Kopechne,
a
campaign worker. Leaving the island via an unlit bridge with no guard
rail,
Kennedy steered the car off the bridge, flipped, and into Poucha Pond.

7. He swam to shore and walked back to the party, passing several houses
and a fire station. Two friends then returned with him to the scene of the
accident. According to their later testimony, they told him what he
already
knew - that he was required by law to immediately report the accident to
the
authorities. Instead Kennedy made his way to his hotel, called his lawyer,
and went to sleep. Kennedy called the police the next morning and by then
the wreck had already been discovered. Before dying, Kopechne had
scratched
at the upholstered floor above her head in the upside-down car.

The Kennedy family began "calling in favors", ensuring that any inquiry
would be contained. Her corpse was whisked out-of-state to her family,
before an autopsy could be conducted. Further details are uncertain, but
after the accident Kennedy says he repeatedly dove under the water trying
to
rescue Kopechne and he didn't call police because he
was in a state of shock. It is widely assumed Kennedy was drunk, and he
held
off calling police in hopes that his family could fix the problem
overnight.
Since the accident, Kennedy's "political enemies" have referred to him as
the distinguished Senator from Chappaquiddick. He pled guilty to leaving
the scene of an accident, and was given a SUSPENDED SENTENCE OF TWO MONTHS.
Kopechne's family received a small payout from the Kennedy's insurance
policy, and never sued. There was later an effort to have her body
exhumed
and autopsied, but her family successfully fought against this in court,
and Kennedy's family paid their attorney's bills... a "token of
friendship"?

8. Kennedy has held his Senate seat for more than forty years, but
considering his longevity, his accomplishments seem scant. He authored or
argued for legislation that ensured a variety of civil rights, increased
the
minimum wage in 1981, made access to health care easier for the indigent,
and funded Meals on Wheels for fixed-income seniors and is widely held as
the "standard-bearer for liberalism". In his very first Senate roll, he was
the floor manager for the bill that turned U.S. immigration policy upside
down and opened the floodgate for immigrants from third world countries.

9. Since that time, he has been the prime instigator and author of every
expansion of an increase in immigration, up to and including the latest
attempt to grant amnesty to illegal aliens. Not to mention the pious
grilling he gave the last two Supreme Court nominees, as if he was the
standard bearer for the nation in matters of "what's right". What a
pompous
ass!

10. He is known around Washington as a public drunk, loud, boisterous and
very disrespectful to ladies. JERK is a better description than "great
American". "A blonde in every pond" is his motto.

Let's not allow the spin doctors make this jerk a hero -- how quickly the
American public forgets what his real legacy is. Let's keep this going for
truth, justice and the American way!

So, if you're a Ted Kennedy lover, prove at least one of the points wrong.

Then, there's the Dodd/Kennedy Waitress Sandwich (BTW, I don't like Dodd either, freakin' crook).

Go straight to Paragraph 9 in this one, but do read the rest, there are others on both sides of the aisle:

Sexual Awakening

Here's a quote that's all over the place:

Article clip, from the Hartford Courant:

"Dodd and Kennedy were also reported to have made a 'human sandwich' with a waitress at La Brasserie, another Capitol Hill restaurant. The report had it that Kennedy threw the woman on Dodd, who was slumped in a chair, and then jumped on top of her. She was said to have run screaming from the room."

Summary of 1989 Penthouse magazine article, summarized by the Washington Times:

"When she put in an appearance in their private retreat - 'The Teddy Kennedy Fun Room' - the Massachusetts senator picked her up and heaved her onto a table. The crystal candlesticks and champagne glasses shattered as he grabbed her again and flung her on top of Dodd.

"Then Kennedy threw himself on top of the woman. The waitress implored Mr. Kennedy to 'Get off me!'

"Another waitress entered to find 'things all tipped over and Kennedy was on top, [the waitress] was in the middle and Dodd was on the bottom.' At that point the sandwich was disassembled."

Well, I guess Penthouse, The Washington Times and the Hartford Courant got some 'splainin' to do if this is not true. Or should make it clear they never printed it.
In Dodd's defense ('Scuse me whilst I hurl), he was reported to have been passed out drunk and it was Kennedy who did it without his knowledge.

And the Palm Beach Rape.
Now, Teddy Bear didn't do it, it was his cute lil' nephew Will. But it seems that the Kennedy's did do a bit of stonewalling against the investigators. And lil' Willy did seem to have a taste for rape.
Ah well, 6 degrees and all that. I'm being a bit of an ass putting it in here, since it's not directly Ted.
But it was an event!
The linked article, being Time magazine, is mostly sympathetic. You can find unsympathetic articles all over the blogosphere, but I don't feel like it. I'll end on a milder note:

Health Care Debate

So far, I haven't weighed in on it. Not much time and I wanted to find out more before commenting as so much of what we hear from both sides seems self serving.

I recently did a long post on a forum I belong to, with many links. Just to be lazy, I'm reprinting the post here:

I would like to see government run catastrophic health insurance.
That's all.

On the other hand, it would be nice if there was single payer so that the big companies didn't have the advantage over smaller companies.

This whole thing needs more thought, but I am drop dead terrified of what's being shoved at us now.

--------

So, the evil insurance companies drop people who are too expensive. The govt would never do something awful like that:

Obama-Veterans

Dump the veterans on private insurers to save $540mil.
Sooooo, govt can do a better job insuring us all? Can't even afford injured soldiers. (note, BTW, that is CNN, not the evil, lyin' racist nazi FOX ).

-------------

And speaking of veterans, how silly we brain damaged Nazi protesters are for thinking our beloved president would ever have "death panels."
Uh, well OK, maybe we are being silly on this one:

Your Life, Your Choices

But there's a bunch of other text in the bill itself that does seem to point to this. For me, this is one of those "needs more info" things.

But that inbred dimbulb Palin just mouths off with nothing to back her up:

Palin-Facebook

Oops, oh my, footnotes and direct references to the actual bill. How inconvenient. Here's a bit of that reading I need to do. Sometime.

------------------------

Now some Canadians think their health care is just spiffy and so much cheaper:

LA Times article

But then why:

Vancouver Sun article

Canadian Press Article

Freep-Eek!

And they have it very good compared to some.

-------------------

Let's have a taste of that gubbamint health care the triumviRAT of Pelosi/Reid/Obama want us all to have:

NHS Refuses Pain Killers

Birth Problem

NHS Sick Days

NHS aint sacrosanct

More Birth Follies

And the best of all:

Oops, wrong organ

"When the docs screw up.
They're incompetent boobs
Who you gonna sue?

NOOO BODY"
(sung to the Ghost Busters tune)

That guy can't do diddly about that cock up. BECAUSE IT'S GOVERNMENT HEALTH CARE AND GOOD LUCK SUING THE GOVERNMENT.
Yeah, at first, we'll have private doctors and our loving benevolent gubbamint will just be the pocketbook. Don't be naive enough to think that will last. Just my opinion.

----------------------------

Now this, THIS RIGHT HERE, is critical to understanding freedom loving people's fear of this plan and how our beloved president is not being completely forthright:

Keep your insurance?

------------------------------

Champions of the health care bill will point to the profits of the insurance industry. But let's follow the money:

Obama connections

Shades of Cheney / Haliburton!

Aaaaand, speaking of money, those bad ol' insurance companies are just raking it in:

Profit Margins

Yeah, just look at all those insurance companies listed on the fastest growing chart:

Fastest Growing

---------------------------------------

After all this, don't forget that at the beginning, I wrote that this whole thing needs more thought. I say we take a peek at the French system:

French system

It is having problems:

French Troubles

But it's still worth a look:

Another French system look

-----------------

Now, many folks point out how successful Medicare and Medicaid are. I do NOT think they are so damn successful, but until I get more info and links, I'll leave that one alone.

Go Ahead, Report Me

OBAMA SUCKS!

That sort of outburst simply isn't allowed. Won't be tolerated, at least not for long.

Further, I proclaim that The One's health care bill is a socialist dream. It's intent is to increase government control over us, nothing more.

Here's a few points about the healthscare bill I poached from a reply to an absurd editorial, which I will link to later:

Sec. 142, Pg. 42 - The Health Choices Commissioner will choose your benefits for you. You have no choice.
Sec. 152, Pg. 50-51 - Health Care will be provided to ALL NON-US citizens.
Sec. 163, Pg. 58-59 beginning at line 5 - Government will have real-time access to individuals finances & a National ID health care card will be issued.
Sec. 163, Pg. 59, Lines 21-24 - Government will have direct access to your bank accounts for electronic funds transfer.
Sec. 164, Pg. 65 is a tax-payer subsidized payoff plan for retirees and their families in unions & community organizations (ie. ACORN).
Sec. 205, Pg. 102, Lines 12-18 - Medicaid-eligible individuals will be automatically enrolled in Medicaid. No freedom to choose.
Sec. 223, Pg. 124, Lines 24-25 - No company can sue the government for price-fixing. No administrative of judicial review against a government monopoly.

See, I'm passing on vile disinformation! I am dangerous! A radical! Villains like me must be stopped!

Better report heretics like me to:

flag@whitehouse.gov

For more information, go to:

Whitehouse Blog

This is one way it starts.

People like me will be in serious trouble by The One's third term.

Oh, here's the idiot article:

Diet... No

I've been doing the on-again-off-again diet & exercise yo-yo for decades.

But to the current situation:

For about the past 6 months, I've been dieting and exercising. My goal was to get my gut down to a reasonable diameter, say about 38 to 40 inches at the belly button line. Be nice to go slimmer, but that size would be spiffy. This goal was to have been reached by December.

In order to exercise, I must get up at about 5am so I can work out and get to the office by 8:30am. Working out at any other time of day is simply out of the question.
So, I would always try to get to bed by 9pm (that's 2100 to you 24 hour clock folks), but almost never could make it in until an hour to two hours later.

I tried to eat healthy, basically a high protein diet with most carbs coming from green veggies.

The fat loss was excruciatingly slow. It was apparent that I would not make my goal unless I did something extreme. But I'm 50 years old, so extreme anything is a bit dangerous. Still, I felt confident that I could get there somehow.

Despite the exercise, which should have revved me up, I was almost constantly tired.
Despite eating healthy, even to the point of a lot of expensive organic foods, I would start nodding off at my desk by about 2pm and have to walk around and guzzle coffee just to look awake. I couldn't concentrate well at all.

I was always thinking about what I could eat. What am I allowed to eat, what can I pack for lunch, etc. I had to be sure to cook up my lunches in the crock pot and Foreman grill so I'd have something for the week. Lot's of cooking! I had to keep a stash of nuts in the car because I couldn't eat at delis or fast food joints if I got the munchies on the road.
I went to three stores when food shopping. It was a half a day excursion! Costco, then Trader Joe's, then Stop & Shop. I couldn't afford to buy the organics anywhere but Trader Joe's and Costco.
All I ever could think about was getting sleep and what to eat.
But I figured I'd get used to it and get back to normal. I still felt this way about 6 months later.

Then, I started a huge project (more on that later!), which ate up so much of my time that I had none left for anything, including my family unfortunately.

I stopped working out completely and eliminated much of the eating healthy. Speed and convenience trump all.
Now:
Breakfast: 4 raw eggs blended in water and a bit of cocoa powder.
Lunch: Whatever microwave meals are on sale. I just bought a bunch of Marie Callender's for $2 each.
Dinner: Whatever I can scrounge or whatever the rest of the family is having. I discovered Subway $5 footlongs, for example.
Snacks: Cheddar cheese, various nuts (walnuts, peanuts, etc), instant soups.

I am staying up until near midnight most nights, and getting up between 5:30 and 6:00 am.
I'm cooking nothing outside of the microwave.

You know what?

I FEEL GREAT!

I am much more alert. I'm not falling asleep at my desk. I never think about food unless I'm hungry, and then it's just a minor annoyance. I never think about sleep unless I'm tired, and even then, it's easy to stay up a little longer and so much easier to get out of bed in the morning.
Food shopping takes minutes instead of half a day. I can get most of what I want at Wal-Mart or Target, except the microwave dinners.
I'm in the car and I get the munchies, I hit the deli. Yeah, I still keep nuts in the car, but it's not critical anymore.

I was planning on getting back to the diet & exercise after the project wound down, but I really don't think so anymore.
Let's see, tired and consumed with thoughts of food and sleep, or fat and working well.

Guess I'm gonna be a fudgy pucker. That's OK, I can concentrate on living.

Romney / Palin 2012

Check this out:

Rasmussen Pole

Soooo, what if there were a Romney / Palin ticket?

I do believe that would be a winner.

NOT a Palin / Romney ticket thanks, I don't think that would win. But it would be damn close!

I don't like the idea of voting Republican as I feel the party has turned to crap over the last few years, but I would have to seriously think about it with THAT ticket!

YOU HEAR THAT REPUBLICANS? GET THAT TICKET DONE!

The Goode Family is Great!

I am NOT a TV reviewer or critic, and outside of Anime, I don't intend to be.
But this show is just so good that I have to write a little about it. I'm not going to go into detail, just a few paragraphs. I also don't intend to give anything important away, no spoilers.

This is an animated series from the same guy that brought us King of the Hill and Beavis & Butthead.
It's about an incredibly liberal family (the Goode family), and their friends, enemies, and neighbors.

The show does make fun of libs, as you no doubt suspect, but it also pokes fun at Conservatives, sometimes with more teeth. So if you're a liberal yourself, please don't stay away from this show, and if you're a Conservative, don't think it's all gonna be your way.

The Goode family consists of dad, mom, biological daughter, adopted son (a white South African they adopted as an infant and named Ubuntu), and their dog Che.

Here's an example of poking fun at libs:
They are vegans, to the point of not feeding Che meat or meat products! They feed him Soy biscuits and meatless dog food. Naturally, Che is in a constant state of near starvation and craving meat, but they don't notice.
In one episode, mom buys a new bag of dog food, puts the dog food dish on the kitchen table, and is pouring it into the dish. The dog smells it and bounds into the kitchen, slobbering, almost ready to pounce on the dish. Mom is just moving to set the dish on the floor and the dog is ecstatic, when mom sees the "now made with meat" sign on the package. She gasps and immediately withdraws the dish. The dog is crushed, he is starving for that meat. He is so upset he just stands there shaking. The children come in and when mom explains that Che almost ate meat they exclaim "look, he's shaking with fear over what he almost did!"
Don't worry about Che, he gets a real meal now and then. And the ways he does it is one of the recurring side bits and occasionally part of the main plot of several episodes.

Unfortunately, I can't give you any decent examples of making fun of Conservatives without delivering a spoiler. Suffice it to say that Conservatives often come out very creepy, very often. As much as I like to make fun of libs, I have to admit that I laugh just as hard at his treatment of "my side."

I never thought it could happen, but I find myself pulling for these ultra liberals, and liking them a lot. When they go up against some big ol' BBQ sauce dripping, meat eating, Limbaugh loving Conservative type, I find myself rooting for them. This is the exact opposite of my attitude outside of the show.
Hmmmmmmm, intent?

The Goode Family is a very fun, likable show. It skewers both sides, but at the same time shows compassion and even admiration for many.

If anything in this show offends you, then you should perhaps take a long look at yourself, as you aren't as great as you think you are.

ABC, The Goode Family

Hey, I just noticed that the Google spell checker capitalizes Conservative, but not liberal. What does THAT tell you?

How About a Boycott?

I haven't posted on Michael Jackson because I was never a fan, so I had nothing to contribute. Would've been self serving and hypocritical.

But I am ticked at his father now:

Michael Jackson's Father Talks Record Label

Egad, what an ass!

I say NO ONE should buy a damn thing that he has a hand in! Easy for me to say, since I probably wouldn't be interested in the stuff anyway, but it would be sad if that jerk made dime one from THAT performance.

How can someone be so cold? I look at my kids, I look at my friends with their kids, I can't even imagine any of us being so calm and selfish. It's creepy.

Like I mentioned, I've never been a Jackson fan. But this is one dirtbag that absolutely should not have outlived his child.

4 Favorite Harleys

I've made fun of Harley Davidson (AKA Hardly Ableson, or Hardly Riddenson) quite a few times. But there are some models of Harley that I just love and would immediately buy if I won a lottery.

First up is the very first Super Glide.

1971 Super Glide

Unlike most people, I love the fiberglass boat tail back fender.
I first saw one of these in a Hot Rod magazine ad when I was in elementary school. It was one of the most beautiful things I had ever seen and remains so to this day.
I would leave it absolutely stock except to modernize the engine internals, such as hardened valve guides.

Next is a 1986 FXRD, the only year they made them.

FXRD

I had an 89 FXRT, which is a slightly stripped down version of the same bike, having just the fairing and saddlebags. I added everything you see on the FXRD except the floorboards and I was going to get to those when I had to sell it (layoffs, kids, minivans...). These are, to my mind, the most functional HD's ever made, but they "Duh-uh, didn't look like a Harley" so they didn't sell.

Third we have the 1973 Sportster. Same as the 72, but with a front disk brake.

You Tube 73 Sporty

I had a 72 with an updated front brake. Oil leaking, vibrated like a paint shaker, unreliable, handled badly. But man she was sexy and just a hoot to ride.

And last, but not least, the XLCR.

XLCR Cafe

Again, "Duh-uh, didn't look like a Harley" and so a functional bike didn't sell.

There you go. Four Harleys that I would love to have in my stable (if I had a stable).
Just to bop around on short trips and to stare at.

Touring? Nope, I'd get a Victory Vision

Daily ride? Nope, I like my 82 Honda Magna for that.

Now I know there are many other very good Harleys, but overall, these are the only ones that truly interest me. Of course, I need to be realistic, none of the four are easy or cheap to come by. If I ever do get another HD, it will likely be a late model 883 Sportster which is OK really. After all, I was thinking about getting one as a first bike for my oldest daughter. That plan has changed, more about that later.

Global Warming is Crap VIII

From the NYT of all places. I don't believe much of anything in that rag, but this article goes AGAINST the AlGorian Order's scripture, and AGAINST the stated beliefs of The One, so here we have one of the most devout grovelers known actually printing blasphemy!
Something must be up.

U.S. Climate Report Assailed

Here are some links referenced in the article:

Roger Pielke Jr.'s Blog

Heh heh.

This next blog article doesn't disagree directly with the AlGorian Order, but it points out the bullcrap. What is really cool about the next article are the responses:

Prometheus

Ah what a wonderful government we have, cherry picking unsubstantiated bits and pieces from real works to "prove" that GlobeAl Goreming is real.

Where's the damn change and transparency? Still a bunch of lying liers telling lies (no apologies to Al Franken).

FINALLY!

Well, I'd pretty much lost hope that this would ever happen. But, glory be, it has!

Someone other than Rush Limbaugh, Glenn Beck and the like has poked some fun at The One.
Hell, not even Jon Stewart is willing to speak truth to The One's power, what chance has anyone else got? Especially when folks like Stewart will attack you for your blasphemy.

Thank God (or Allah, or Buddha, or Ereshkigal or any supreme being(s) you may or may not worship or be familiar with, may or may not believe in, may or may not be offended by. I apologize for mentioning the supreme being worshiped by those known to be the most evil creatures that ever walked the earth, who call themselves Christians, said being generally known as "God" I only included the name here in an admittedly misdirected but sincere attempt to be fair and balanced and because I am a direct descendant of these foul Christian animals and cannot control my depravity) the good folks at JibJab have decided to take a chance on being shut down by releasing this video:

He's Barak Obama

I wonder if Stewart will attack JibJab? I wonder if Congress will attempt to pass a "fairness in comedy" act?

Wouldn't surprise me. But enjoy this in the meantime!

Global Warming is Crap VII

Conflicting data it seems. Just ask a farmer.

Crops under stress

But of course GlobAL GOREming will not be denied. The soldiers of truth shall carry on despite the ignorant self destructive naysayers.

Too narrow a time frame? Global warming (more accurately, GlobeAL GOREming. I got that off another blog or article, can't remember where for the life of me. If I ever find out, I'll credit it) is a long term thing? Can't use individual incidents to try and prove/disprove it?
Right you are:

Dying Aussie Bats

Geez, when it's hot out, that's global warming. When it's cold out, that's global warming.
Any science going on around here anywhere?

On a slightly related subject, I do have to defend public transportation after reading this article. I couldn't sleep otherwise:

Think twice about 'green' transportation

Well, this seems to be putting the cart before the horse so to speak. Mass transit becomes more efficient as more people use it. Sure, it could be less efficient than a car or even SUV if there's few riders, but if I were in a position to use it, I would ignore this 'few riders' logic.
I do want to point out that those who revile SUVs and large cars across the board are boneheads too, as one would have to measure energy use per passenger and big vehicles are pretty efficient when you pack the family in them.

State Run Media

For quite a while now, we conservatives have been half jokingly referring to ABC, CNN, MSDNC, er MSNBC, NYT, etc. as the "state run media." Maybe make that quarter jokingly?

Anyways, ABC has finally decided to make it official. The following quote was cut & pasted from the Drudge report:

ABC TURNS PROGRAMMING OVER TO OBAMA; NEWS TO BE ANCHORED FROM INSIDE WHITE HOUSE
Tue Jun 16 2009 08:45:10 ET

On the night of June 24, the media and government become one, when ABC turns its programming over to President Obama and White House officials to push government run health care -- a move that has ignited an ethical firestorm!

Highlights on the agenda:

ABCNEWS anchor Charlie Gibson will deliver WORLD NEWS from the Blue Room of the White House.

The network plans a primetime special -- 'Prescription for America' -- originating from the East Room, exclude opposing voices on the debate.

The Director of Communications at the White House Office of Health Reform is Linda Douglass, who worked as a reporter for ABC News from 1998-2006.

Late Monday night, Republican National Committee Chief of Staff Ken McKay fired off a complaint to the head of ABCNEWS:

Dear Mr. Westin:

As the national debate on health care reform intensifies, I am deeply concerned and disappointed with ABC's astonishing decision to exclude opposing voices on this critical issue on June 24, 2009. Next Wednesday, ABC News will air a primetime health care reform “town hall” at the White House with President Barack Obama. In addition, according to an ABC News report, GOOD MORNING AMERICA, WORLD NEWS, NIGHTLINE and ABC’s web news “will all feature special programming on the president’s health care agenda.” This does not include the promotion, over the next 9 days, the president’s health care agenda will receive on ABC News programming.

Today, the Republican National Committee requested an opportunity to add our Party's views to those of the President's to ensure that all sides of the health care reform debate are presented. Our request was rejected. I believe that the President should have the ability to speak directly to the America people. However, I find it outrageous that ABC would prohibit our Party's opposing thoughts and ideas from this national debate, which affects millions of ABC viewers.

In the absence of opposition, I am concerned this event will become a glorified infomercial to promote the Democrat agenda. If that is the case, this primetime infomercial should be paid for out of the DNC coffers. President Obama does not hold a monopoly on health care reform ideas or on free airtime. The President has stated time and time again that he wants a bipartisan debate. Therefore, the Republican Party should be included in this primetime event, or the DNC should pay for your airtime.

Respectfully,
Ken McKay
Republican National Committee
Chief of Staff

MORE

ABCNEWS Senior Vice President Kerry Smith on Tuesday responded to the RNC complaint, saying it contained 'false premises':

"ABCNEWS prides itself on covering all sides of important issues and asking direct questions of all newsmakers -- of all political persuasions -- even when others have taken a more partisan approach and even in the face of criticism from extremes on both ends of the political spectrum. ABCNEWS is looking for the most thoughtful and diverse voices on this issue.

"ABCNEWS alone will select those who will be in the audience asking questions of the president. Like any programs we broadcast, ABC News will have complete editorial control. To suggest otherwise is quite unfair to both our journalists and our audience."

This is indeed a sad day for what little remained of the Fourth Estate. Finally, there is no more dissembling, no more mask. ABC is state run media.

Maybe they'll be OK right? Maybe they'll be fair and balanced (hah!):

ABC promises Republicans health care coverage won't be Obama 'infomercial'

I don't believe that crap for a NY minute. Here's a taste of what's to come, again copied from the Drudge Report:

ABC REFUSES OPPOSITION ADS DURING WHITE HOUSE SPECIAL
Wed Jun 17 2009 15:15:00 ET

ABC is refusing to air paid ads during its White House health care presentation, the DRUDGE REPORT has learned, including a paid-for alternative viewpoint!

The development comes a day after the network denied a request by the Republican National Committee to feature a representative of the party's views during the Obama special.

Conservatives for Patients Rights requested the rates to buy a 60-second spot immediately preceding 'Prescription for America'.

Statement from Rick Scott, chairman of Conservatives for Patients Rights:

"It is unfortunate - and unusual - that ABC is refusing to accept paid advertising that would present an alternative viewpoint for the White House health care event. Health care is an issue that touches every American and all potential pieces of legislation have carried a pricetag in excess of $1 trillion of taxpayers' money. The American people deserve a healthy, robust debate on this issue and ABC's decision - as of now - to exclude even paid advertisements that present an alternative view does a disservice to the public. Our organization is more than willing to purchase ad time on ABC to present an alternative viewpoint and our hope is that ABC will reconsider having such viewpoints be part of this crucial debate for the American people. We were surprised to hear that paid advertisements would not be accepted when we inquired and we would certainly be open to purchasing time if ABC would reconsider."

Now to be fair, some say this is overblown and much ado about nothing:

ABC Defends Decision to Broadcast From White House

Well, it would be nice if ABC shows all sides of this story and leads the country into a good, healthy discussion of this important topic. We DO need a good discussion, cuz right now it seems like a lot of bullshit from both sides of the issue.
But I absolutely do NOT trust ABC and their Democrat friends to do this. They WILL present one side over the other. It WILL be an Obama infomercial.
Be cool if I'm wrong, but don't bet against me.

Now these folks say that this is just tit for tat, cuz that awful, evil, lying, ultra conservative, bile spewing, buck tooth, retard Fox News did a special on Bush in the White House (oh man, that opens up a world of crude images):

Crooks and Liars

OK, not exactly the same thing, but I'll go along with accusations of fawning.
Uh, except this brown noser did it every bit as well, better actually, being on Twitter and all:

Follow NBC's Coverage "Inside the Obama White House" on Twitter

Oh, uh, here:

Inside the Obama White House

Oooooh, my leg is just TINGLING.

So, anyone who got all in a Huffington, er huff, about Brett's Bush White House lovefest can go piss up a rope.

Let's face it, these guys in the State Run Media would eat a mile of Obama's feces just to have the honor of getting to where it came from so they can french kiss the glorious area. Repeatedly.

ABC is so far the only one to snuggle right in nice and tight. Officially.

Final word will be from the great Chris Muir:

An Open Letter to The One

No, I didn't write this, but I sure do agree with it. Well, most of it.

This was written by Lou Pritchett, who was a vice president of Proctor & Gamble. Worked there for 36 years, retiring in 1989.
In 1995 he authored a book titled "Stop Paddling & Start Rocking the Boat."

This open letter to The One came to me from The Patriot Depot
, whom I've bought a few little items from.

Here ya go:

Dear President Obama:

You are the thirteenth President under whom I have lived and unlike any of the others, you truly scare me.

You scare me because after months of exposure, I know nothing about you.

You scare me because I do not know how you paid for your expensive Ivy League education and your upscale lifestyle and housing with no visible signs of support.

You scare me because you did not spend the formative years of youth growing up in America, and culturally you are not an American.

You scare me because you have never run a company or met a payroll.

You scare me because you have never had military experience, thus don't understand it at its core.

You scare me because you lack humility and "class," always blaming others.

You scare me because for over half your life you have aligned yourself with radical extremists who hate America and you refuse to publicly denounce these radicals who wish to see America fail.

You scare me because you are a cheerleader for the "blame America" crowd and deliver this message abroad.

You scare me because you want to change America to a European style country where the government sector dominates instead of the private sector.

You scare me because you want to replace our health care system with a government controlled one.

You scare me because you prefer "wind mills" to responsibly capitalizing on our own vast oil, coal and shale reserves.

You scare me because you want to kill the American capitalist goose that lays the golden egg which provides the highest standard of living in the world.

You scare me because you have begun to use "extortion" tactics against certain banks and corporations.

You scare me because your own political party shrinks from challenging you on your wild and irresponsible spending proposals.

You scare me because you will not openly listen to or even consider opposing points of view from intelligent people.

You scare me because you falsely believe that you are both omnipotent and omniscient.

You scare me because the media gives you a free pass on everything you do.

You scare me because you demonize and want to silence the Limbaughs, Hannitys, O'Reillys and Becks who offer opposing, conservative points of view.

You scare me because you prefer controlling over governing.

Finally, you scare me because if you serve a second term I will probably not feel safe in writing a similar letter in 8 years.

Lou Pritchett

Predicting the Future Follow Up

Well so far my predictions regarding the economy have been completely wrong.
Big surprise right?

At the time of this writing, the DOW sits at 7976.25, which is lower than I ever expected it to be at this point. Hell, I honestly thought things would be rebounding now with the advent of Obamamania (or Obamania as I prefer to call it).

The One is doing a mix of pushing way left socialist programs, and paying back some of his benefactors such as ACORN (just take a peek at the so called stimulus package), while doing a few things to piss off the ultra lefties, like the following:

Obama Sides With Bush

Obama Allows Rendition

Of course, when Dems do bad things, they are good, as we see the differing treatment of ECHELON and PATRIOT:

NY Times Blather

One thing I didn't think of in my predictions was that 3 of The One's cabinet picks have serious tax issues. Daschle has already backed out and Killefer has too. But Geithner is in.
Can you imagine how the media would have screamed if one of those stinking criminal baboon Republicans had been caught like this?

But I digress.
My predictive powers have pretty much proven me a putz. I guess I'll drop the whole predicting the Obama presidency thing and focus on single issues here and there.

One last parting shot. I'm copying this from a post I did in a BBS. I really am enjoying watching the Dems be complete scumbags:

Sorry to keep kicking this here dead horse around, but damn this is funny.

Rendition

Oh how the MSM howled when Bush did this. Let's see if there's any howling now that The One is doing it (I'll bet there won't be a peep, I'll even bet that most journalists will suddenly go along with it and defend it).

Lessee, The One goes along with wiretapping, and now rendition. But, he is The One, he is Messiah, he must be good and true and righteous in all things. Could it be that the most evil monster Bush was right in some things? No, No, it cannot be! But, but then, that would mean that The One is doing evil things too. No No, THAT cannot be!

Oh no, you cannot even call upon God for help, since there is no God. Well, other than Clinton, Soros, Streisand, Clooney, and of course, The One. What ever shall you do?

Ah, who am I kidding, y'all will just ignore it. Probably ignore Daschle blowing off $128k in taxes until he got nominated (oh, but that was just an oversight right?).

Actually, this isn't all that funny. It just means that both parties are truly as full of crooks as we all suspected.

But the rendition and wiretapping thing is a riot

BTW, if you think I'm going way overboard with this Messiah and The One stuff. Check these out:

I Now Empathize With You‏

One of my very good friends is either agnostic or atheist, I'm not really sure which. He and I have gotten into some heated arguments about religion, primarily when used by govt agencies, such as "under God" in the pledge or prayers at games and such.
I am not a very religious person, but I always felt that since we are a nation founded by Christians with many of its social and judicial concepts, those who don't believe should simply deal with it.

Well, I've changed my mind. I sent the following message to my friend in an email (I have removed one extreme cuss word, as this is a family joint).

This will sound like a joke, but it's not, I am completely serious.

I have always tried half heartedly to sympathize with atheists, without much success. It seemed like "much ado about nothing."

But now, I feel that Obama is being treated like a deity or messiah and I'm ready to just throw up. I am trying to avoid all media, such as radio and TV just to not have to hear the fawning.
He is not messiah, he is not a deity, he is a very eloquent politician, no more. So it bugs the crap out of me all these Obots elevating him to an exalted position. I most certainly do not feel a tingle run down my leg.

It has occured to me that atheists must feel very much the same way about Jesus, Mohamed, and whoever else. Now I really understand just how sickening it is to listen to people exalt a mortal or some probably non existent entity.

I am done arguing about it. Atheists have rights too, they shouldn't have to be subjected to a constant God barage.

I am sorry for arguing with you and I now understand the anger and frustration of all these people bringing lawsuits against schools and other gov't agencies. I guess you just can't ever understand someone until you've walked in their shoes as the old saying goes.

So The One has had a profound effect on me already. Through his followers in the media, he has made me sympathetic and maybe even supportive of activist atheists.

Quite an accomplishment.

Stark Contrast

So The One's inauguration is going to be a wonderful event. Bush's was an inappropriate expenditure.

God I hate the media. Can they sink any lower?

AP Inauguration funnies

Actually, I think the cost mentioned in the previous article for The One's extravaganza is a bit low, as we see here.

Cost Soars!

At the time of this writing, that works out to just under $160 million.

And here's a 2005 Salon editorial bitchin' about how the media didn't attack Bush for the outrageous inauguration costs.

Giving Bush a Pass

While I'm at it, check out the results of a Salon search on the keywords "Bush" and "inauguration"

Now view the results of "Obama" and "inauguration"

I'm not picking on Salon exclusively. To me, they are merely another liberal propaganda machine purporting to be a news organization, just like the NYT.
Of course, if one went to Rush Limbaugh's site or Sean Hannity's, I'm quite sure one would see a similar bias level in the opposite direction.
I just happened to come across this on Salon's site.

Do you begin to see why I always filter the media?

Sayonara Democracy

Well, the White House was purchased for a little under 700 million bucks recently, but what the Hell, we don't need to know where the money came from right?

Well now it looks like Franken hits the senate, courtesy of the officials put in place by the likes of the Secretary of State Project, MoveOn.org, ACORN, and God knows what other democrat money machines.

Funny Business in Minnesota

Franken Vote Grab

Wasn't it supposed to be the eeeevil Republicans that had all the money and used it to buy votes and power, while the peace loving, truth telling Democrats fought a brave David and Goliath battle against such power brokering?

Bullfeathers, it appears to be the other way around if anything.

Boss Tweed, Richard Nixon, and Caligula were small time punks compared to the DNC!
