STFU.
You too Frank.
I couldn't even finish listening to this, it was so horribly self serving:
Pelosi's Scapegoating
This financial mess we are in was NOT caused by any freaking "failed Bush policy." Nor is it completely the fault of greedy Wall Street executives.
The blame can be laid squarely at the feet of Congress, both parties, but primarily the Democrats.
I can explain why, but someone else has summed it up pretty well. Easier for me to just link to the article:
Beyond The Point Of No Return
You Dems and liberals who are screeching about Bush and the evils of capitalism, get it through your heads that it was primarily your own misguided, mindless idealism that put us here (I guess you are all vegetarians*). Deal with it.
*go back a few posts for an explanation, PETA Post.
UPDATE:
Oops, forgot about this one. Earlier article, more detail, another "must read."

A Few Examples of Why I Hate Most News Co's.
OK, you can consider the source here, but I do believe these articles, and they are great examples of the problem with most of our news outlets:
Sarah Palin Myths Debunked
And why would they lie and spin about Palin? Here you go:
The Man Who Never Was
While we're about it, here's a WSJ editorial about the Obamessiah's tax plan. Not sure how accurate it is, haven't been able to get any straight analysis really:
Obama's Tax Plan Is Really a Welfare Plan
Most any article or editorial I've seen anywhere else lauds the Obammessiah's grand and glorious plan.
Oh well, I still say either way we're screwed.

Oops
Just pokin' around, and I noticed that in a previous post I used "insure" when I should have used "ensure."
What an ass.
What an ass.
Pellet Stove Revisited
I railed on about the worthlessness of our pellet stove a few months ago:
Pellet Stoves Worth It?
Well had the service guy come out and clean it up and check it out last weekend, and he informed me that I didn't have the air damper opened up enough.
He fired it up and showed me how the flame was supposed to look. Damn, no fire, just some blue glow from the pellets and they were jumping around a little bit from the wind blowing through!
Now I had been warned that too much air would blow out the flame, so I was trying to be careful. A little too careful it seems.
Also, we apparently bought a crappy stove. It's a Breckwell Big E utility furnace, and he told me that none of the service guys like them, they just don't heat as well as other Breckwells. Well, it was about $1500 as opposed to $3000 for a "good" one. What a freakin' ripoff these things are.
Oh, and I'm not going to run that other outside vent as I had originally planned.
Well, crappy stove or not, now that I suspect it was mostly my fault, let's see what this winter brings.

Maybe I will vote for McCain
Simply because I hate most of the news media.
The Obamessiah gets a gentle, and very helpful, hand from an interviewer, and Palin gets attacked.
Both should have been attacked really.
I was planning on voting Libertarian, just as a protest more than anything else as I don't think much of Barr, but when McCain selected Palin as his running mate, I said, "hey that was a pretty neat zinger there."
So, I started leaning a little more towards the old guy, but not too much.
Now, I am almost certain to vote for him, simply because I am sick and tired of the media's fawning over the most holy Obamessiah. For example, Palin's religion is a problem and the Obamessiah's close religious and family relationship with a racist asshole is just fine?
The lipstick comment is bullcrap, the Obamessiah simply used a fairly common term and I in no way believe he directed it at Palin. No one could truly believe that. So that's what the media focuses on for days.
Screw you CBS, NBC, etc. etc.
You make me sick, and I will probably vote for McCain/Palin simply because you are so obviously in love with the Obamessiah and will throw aside all semblance of journalistic integrity to insure his victory.
One small article outlining a few examples:

Republicans Are Evil
The previous quote about what liberals have done for us was posted in the Daily Kos as a response to this little tale:
Now here's my point in quoting this:
If you fully agree with one of these, but fully disagree with the other, then you are an extremist asshole. You are part of the problems this country faces, rather than a solution.
But if you can see some truth and merit in both of them, even if you agree with one more than the other, then I figure you to be someone capable of independent thought, whatever your education level may be.
That's all I was thinking about with this.
Father - Daughter Talk
A young woman was about to finish her first year of college. Like so many others her age, she considered herself to be a very liberal Democrat; and, among other liberal ideals, was very much in favor of higher taxes to support more government programs, in other words, redistribution of wealth.
She was deeply ashamed that her father was a rather staunch Republican, a feeling she openly expressed. Based on the lectures that she had participated in, and the occasional chat with a professor, she felt that her father had for years harbored an evil, selfish desire to keep what he thought should be his.
One day she was challenging her father on his opposition to higher taxes on the "rich" and the need for more government programs. The self-professed objectivity proclaimed by her professors just had to be the truth and she indicated so to her father. He responded by asking how she was doing in school.
Taken aback, she answered rather haughtily that she had a 4.0 GPA, and let him know that it was tough to maintain, insisting that she was taking a very difficult course load and was constantly studying, which left her no time to go out and party like other people she knew. She didn't even have time for a boyfriend, and didn't really have many college friends because she spent all her time studying.
Her father listened, then asked, "How is your friend Audrey doing?" She replied, "Audrey is barely getting by. All! she takes are easy classes, she never studies, and she barely has a 2.0 GPA. She is so popular on campus; college for her is a blast. She's always invited to all the parties, and lots of times she doesn't even show up for classes because she's too hung over."
Her father asked her, "Why don't you go to the Dean's office and ask him to deduct a 1.0 off your GPA, and give it to your friend Audrey, who only has a 2.0. That way you will both have a 3.0 GPA and certainly that would be a fair and equal distribution of GPA."
The daughter, visibly shocked by her father's suggestion, angrily fired back, "That's a crazy idea. How would that be fair? I've worked really hard for my grades! I've invested a lot of time, and a lot of hard work. Audrey has done next to nothing toward her degree. She's played while I worked my tail off!"
The father slowly smiled, winked, and said gently, "Welcome to the Republican Party."
Now here's my point in quoting this:
If you fully agree with one of these, but fully disagree with the other, then you are an extremist asshole. You are part of the problems this country faces, rather than a solution.

I'm a Liberal Hatin' Republican
But I'm not quite, just barely not quite, stupid enough to not fully agree with this:
Nothing is 100% other than death and even that gets debated to, uh, death.
I got this from the Daily Kos website, which I can't read without puking, but there was a direct link to this from someplace else so I could handle it.
I need to post something about the presidential elections, but this jumped out at me.
A DAY IN THE LIFE OF JOE REPUBLICAN
Joe gets up at 6 a.m. and fills his coffeepot with water to prepare his morning coffee. The water is clean and good because some tree-hugging liberal fought for minimum water-quality standards. With his first swallow of coffee, he takes his daily medication. His medications are safe to take because some stupid commie liberal fought to insure their safety and that they work as advertised.
All but $10 of his medications are paid for by his employer's medical plan because some liberal union workers fought their employers for paid medical insurance -- now Joe gets it, too. He prepares his morning breakfast, bacon and eggs. Joe's bacon is safe to eat because some girly-man liberal fought for laws to regulate the meat packing industry.
In the morning shower, Joe reaches for his shampoo. His bottle is properly labeled with each ingredient and its amount in the total contents because some crybaby liberal fought for his right to know what he was putting on his body and how much it contained. Joe dresses, walks outside and takes a deep breath. The air he breathes is clean because some environmentalist wacko liberal fought for laws to stop industries & government from polluting our air. He walks to the subway station for his government-subsidized ride to work. It saves him considerable money in parking and transportation fees because some fancy-pants liberal fought for affordable public transportation, which gives everyone the opportunity to be a contributor.
Joe begins his work day. He has a good job with excellent pay, medical benefits, retirement, paid holidays and vacation because some lazy liberal union members fought and died for these working standards. Joe's employer pays these standards because Joe's employer doesn't want his employees to call the union. If Joe is hurt on the job or becomes unemployed, he'll get a worker's compensation or unemployment check because some stupid liberal didn't think he should lose his home because of his temporary misfortune.
Its noontime and Joe needs to make a bank deposit so he can pay some bills. Joe's deposit is federally insured by the FSLIC because some godless liberal wanted to protect Joe's money from unscrupulous bankers who ruined the banking system before the Great Depression.
Joe has to pay his Fannie Mae-underwritten mortgage and his below-market federal student loan because some elitist liberal decided that Joe and the government would be better off if he was educated and earned more money over his lifetime.
Joe is home from work. He plans to visit his father this evening at his farm home in the country. He gets in his car for the drive. His car is among the safest in the world because some America-hating liberal fought for car safety standards. He arrives at his boyhood home. His was the third generation to live in the house financed by Farmers' Home Administration because bankers didn't want to make rural loans. The house didn't have electricity until some big-government liberal stuck his nose where it didn't belong and demanded rural electrification.
He is happy to see his father, who is now retired. His father lives on Social Security and a union pension because some wine-drinking, cheese-eating liberal made sure he could take care of himself so Joe wouldn't have to.
Joe gets back in his car for the ride home, and turns on a radio talk show. The radio host keeps saying that liberals are bad and conservatives are good. He doesn't mention that the beloved Republicans have fought against every protection and benefit Joe enjoys throughout his day.
Joe agrees: "We don't need those big-government liberals ruining our lives! After all, I'm a self-made man who believes everyone should take care of themselves, just like I have."
Nothing is 100% other than death and even that gets debated to, uh, death.

OK, I'm a day late and a dollar short, but I just read the Google Chrome browser's introductory comic.
Man, if these bastards can pull this off, they'll rule the browser world too!
