Harmony Farms Dog Food

I don't mind doing free advertising for products that work for me. I will occasionally mention something that I have found to be more than satisfactory, starting now.

Our dog had been suffering from some sort of eczema like skin condition for quite a while. He'd scratched his fur clean off in some spots. All the vet could do was give him shots, which helped little.
During the poison dog food scare, we decided to start feeding him organic dog food to be done with such things. We found Harmony Farms dry dog food at Stop & Shop and started feeding him that.
Lo and behold, the skin condition disappeared! His coat is much more beautiful than it has ever been and he just seems healthier overall.
Now we found canned food from the same company!

Here is an email my wife sent to Harmony Farms.

1st off, I wanted to tell you that after the melamine scare last year, we decided to switch our dog over to Harmony Farms to protect him. We were shocked when his skin condition disappeared! His coat is simply gorgeous now!

2nd, i just noticed the canned Harmony Farms at stop and shop last night. I was happy to see the "made in USA" label, but when i did a Google search to find your website, i noticed that you guys were involved in the melamine scare last year after all! (thank you for being pro-active on that!!!)

has the canning process changed at all in response to the scare? While the product is MADE in the USA, do all the ingredients now COME from the USA? or are we still getting products from overseas?

as I'm sure most people are, I'm very leery of giving "my son" canned food for fear of another "slip up", but he loves it :/

Thank you for taking the time out to write us. And thank you for your interest in Harmony Farms. In response to your email, our foods all are manufactured here in the USA. Where possible our suppliers are instructed to source their ingredients from the US. Where the ingredients are not readily available in the US, such as many vitamins, minerals and nutriceuticals, they work only with reputable foreign suppliers, and subject all ingredients to rigorous quality testing. All of our ingredients are USDA approved and inspected. All our meats and grains are from the US.

Since the recall, we have done much research to find a new manufacturing partner for our canned products. One who shares our same values and whom we felt we could trust. We are happy to announce that we have found a new manufacturer and our canned foods and health bars are back on the shelves. All food is safe to feed your furry little family members.
