This financial mess we are in was NOT caused by any freaking "failed Bush policy." Nor is it completely the fault of greedy Wall Street executives.
The blame can be laid squarely at the feet of Congress, both parties, but primarily the Democrats.
I can explain why, but someone else has summed it up pretty well. Easier for me to just link to the article:

You Dems and liberals who are screeching about Bush and the evils of capitalism, get it through your heads that it was primarily your own misguided, mindless idealism that put us here (I guess you are all vegetarians*). Deal with it.
